Heeler supports integration with Slack to facilitate collaboration and enable workflows.
To connect Slack to Heeler, you will need to sufficient permission to provide Heeler access to your Slack Workspace such that Heeler can
View basic information about public channels in your workspace
View people in your workspace
View profile details about people in your workspace
Send messages as @heeler
Upload, edit, and delete files as Heeler Security App
In the Heeler App, select the Settings icon → Integrations → Add Integration.
Select the correct Slack Workspace to connect. Of note, the example uses the Heeler Slack Workspace, so Heeler App connecting to Heeler Slack. Your integration will be to your Slack.
Confirm required permissions and Allow the connection
Once connected, the health of the integration will display as Healthy
. If that health changes, then navigate to the ellipsis on the right hand side and select Refresh Token.
Heeler uses short-term credentials to authenticate with Slack for improved security. The credentials are refreshed in an automated, ongoing process, but failure to refresh the credentials is the most likely cause of a broken connection.
You are now able to use Slack from within the Heeler App to communicate and execute workflows.
