jiraJira Cloud

Overview

Heeler supports a two-way integration with Jira to create, update, and close tickets. Heeler will collect additional Jira data to assist in automating ticket context such as Projects, Users, and Teams.

To connect Jira Cloud to Heeler, you will need sufficient permission to allow Heeler to:

  1. View user information including usernames, email addresses, and avatars.

  2. Read project and issue data, search for issues, and objects associated with issues like attachments and worklogs.

  3. Create and edit issues, post comments, create worklogs, and delete issues.

Adding Jira Cloud to Heeler

In the Heeler App, select the Settings icon → Integrations → Add Integration → Jira.

Confirm required permissions and Accept the connection

Once connected, the health of the integration will display as Healthy.

You are now able to use Jira from within Heeler App to execute workflows.

Refreshing Credentials/Scopes

You may want to periodically refresh the application credentials. This could be required if the individual who set up the connection is not longer employed by your organization, the required scopes have changed or there was an unforeseen error. Refreshing the credentials requires just a few clicks. Navigate to https://app.heeler.com/administration/integrationsarrow-up-right in Heeler and then click on the menu option on the righthand side of the Jira connection. You'll see an option called Refresh Token. Click this link and walk through the steps to refresh the underlying credentials for the connection.
